First single and video of the new album

Great news! The Netz released their new song today. The song Dreamer, originally sang by Black Sabbath frontman Ozzy Osbourne.

The Beatles influences in the original version of this song are unmistakable. With Marco and Jan being huge Beatles-fans, the band decided to take the influences of lads from Liverpool even further. With adding a mellotron, a sitar, Marco playing his Rickenbacker guitar and Jan his Hofner bass, and even the ADT effect on Marco’s vocals, that worked out well.

The song was recorded at The Box in Katwijk, The Netherlands. Rob produced the track and took care of the drums and sitar, Joost played his ukelele, Peter percussion, Jan focussed on his Hofner beatle-bass, mellotron and backing vocals and Marco did all of the guitar parts and the lead vocals.

To complete the creative proces around this song, Jan made an animation as the song’s official video.
